Becca Speer

Becca found horses in elementary school, as a Girl Scout activity. She quickly fell in love with horses and left Girl Scouts for Pony Club. Becca rode all the way through college, participating in the IHSA program and riding and teaching at a local barn. After a break to raise two sons, Becca found horses again and dedicated herself to riding and training professionally.

Becca has experience with many breeds and types of horses, specializing in eventing and dressage. She is comfortable putting a solid start on young horses and restarting Thoroughbreds off the track. She has worked with horses young and old, from warmbloods and Thoroughbreds to Quarter Horses and ponies.

Becca instills all aspects of horsemanship in the horses she works with, from basic handling and groundwork to work under saddle. Becca has has a strong, goal oriented work ethic and values the same in her horses and students. Her riding abilities are hard earned through countless hours in the saddle, riding any horse she could sit on and a tireless desire to improve.

Becca earned her USDF Bronze medal on her horse Louboutin, whom she trained from a four year old through training level eventing and fourth level dressage. She is currently schooling her mare, Heather, at the training/prelim level and working toward her USDF Silver medal and freestyle bars. She has extensive show experience, and is cool under pressure.

Becca believes that in this sport, we aren't competing against others, we are competing against ourselves. Every ride is an opportunity to school your horse and improve yourself. Becca looks toward the big long term goals but also honors all the lessons that can be learned along the way. Every horse has something to teach you as a rider if you are open to learning.

Madison Watts

Madison Watts is a trainer originally from Buda, Texas.

She has background in Pony Club which gave her a solid foundation of basic horsemanship and allowed her to develop an organized and classical approach to teaching and riding, with some fun stuff in the mix.

Animal behavior, biomechanics and veterinary science are huge interests of hers. She worked as a Veterinary Technician for several years, and still uses a lot of the knowledge gained from that experience in conformation and assessing potential discomfort with horses.

Her goal is to be an advocate for the animals. She's a huge fan of cross training, positive reinforcement and gentle handling. Her training and experience offers comfortable handling with hotter horses and horses with behavioral problems.

Madison had 12 years of teaching experience in private lessons, groups, and summer camps. She has working with numerous international level instructors, and received her USDF Bronze Medal in 2017.

In the past 20 years she has had experience in:

  • Eventing
  • Dressage
  • Driving
  • Polo
  • Exercise Riding

Her goal as a trainer is to create happy athletes and build the confidence of the horse and rider. She loves horses of all breeds and walks of life and is a firm believer in tailoring each lesson to the individual's needs and ending sessions on a good note.
